Hotel Herringbone
Hotel Herringbone in Waco is a masterful transformation of fifty shipping containers and an old city warehouse into a boutique hotel that blends rugged industrial design with artistic flair. From the street, the hotel’s black-painted exterior and neon “Lobby” sign give little away, but step inside, and you're greeted by a stunning world of contrasts. Striking murals and bold, art deco interiors evoke the glamour of old Hollywood, while monochromatic, mid-century modern bathrooms offer a calming retreat. The hotel’s innovative lighting design is key to its ambiance, using warm, layered lighting to soften the industrial edges of the containers and create inviting spaces. Sustainable practices are at the core of the project, repurposing existing structures and using eco-friendly materials to minimize environmental impact. With its central plaza open for community events, Hotel Herringbone isn't just a hotel; it’s a vibrant part of Waco’s cultural revival.
